Violet Moons formed in 2020 as Aubree Riley (guitarist/vocalist) and Kierra Bronson (keys/vocalist) became roommates in October. Both from the Midwest, Aubree had been performing as a Folk/Americana solo artist for many years, while Kierra grew up playing piano and singing mostly for leisure. During quarantine the two began writing songs, forming harmonies, and creating art as if they were one.
Joining forces, they formed this Psychedelic-witch rock band--with influence from classic to modern day female artists. The two feel empowered by women ranging from Janis Joplin, Lana Del Rey, Cherry Glazerr, Angel Olsen, Carole King, and many more. The gals perform as both a duo and full band in Nashville, TN.
In a time where everyone is well-deserved of a mental break, dive into the Moons’ powerfully euphoric and iridescent debut album “Moments Fleeting”—engineered by Michael Fahey at Starbird Sound, in Nashville, TN.
